HISTORY:
     
          Isang Himig (IH) has been around since the mid 1990's as the choir aspect of UCSC Filipino Student Association's Pilipino Cultural Celebration (PCC). In 2005, the choir evolved into a full A Cappella group. Since then, IH has performed at a multitude of events both within and outside of Santa Cruz, ranging from the annual Pilipino Cultural Celebration, Engaging Education's Student Initiated Outreach weekend, Acquire A Cappella Festival, UCSC Multi-Cultural Festival, FSA Kuya-Ate Mentorship Program Dinner, The Philippine Embassy in San Francisco, Christmas In The Park in Downtown San Jose, and much more!  In addition, Isang Himig has put on benefit concerts such as Hidden Voices in 2010 and Uniting Voices in 2014.

          Isang Himig has also expanded with an alumni branch called Isang Himig Legacy. IH Legacy is the alumni group that enables past members to still continue the Isang Himig tradition even after one's time at UC Santa Cruz. The entire Isang Himig community continues to foster community and diversity in all we do through our passion of singing!
